Fundraising
Where does the money I raise go?
All funds raised support Diabetes Australia’s vital work in diabetes research, education, advocacy, and support services. Your fundraising helps us fight for better outcomes for over 1.5 million Australians living with diabetes and those that are at risk.
How do I promote my fundraising activity?
We recommend using social media, email, posters, and word-of-mouth. Be sure to tag us in your posts and use our hashtag #TeamDiabetesAustralia to be featured on our channels!
How do I send in funds if I collect cash donations?
We prefer funds to be deposited electronically, but if you receive cash donations, you can deposit them into your own account and transfer the total amount to Diabetes Australia via direct deposit. Don’t forget to include your reference number and notify our team.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes, all donations of $2 or more made to Diabetes Australia are tax-deductible. Donors will receive a receipt automatically if donating online.
Can I use the Diabetes Australia Logo
Of course! But you must seek permission from us first so we can provide you with the correct logo and ensure it’s used within our guidelines.
Have a chat with our team and we'll guide you through using our logo.
Can I approach companies for donations?
Absolutely! Spreading the word about your event or fundraiser is how you can raise money for Diabetes Australia.
Please chat with us first about where who you’re planning to ask, so we can make sure there are no existing relationships, and the companies are within our preferred industries.
