YOUR IMPACT

Your efforts can make a big impact

With 1.5 million Australians living with diabetes or at risk, your fundraising can raise awareness of diabetes and the ways it can be prevented.  Raise funds and awareness of diabetes through your school community and support our youth programs such as Diabuddies.

ABOUT US

Get active for Diabetes Australia

A healthy lifestyle with a good diet and exercise can prevent type 2 diabetes. Turn your love of triathlon and participation in the Schools Triathlon Challenge into vital funds for Diabetes Australia.

Why Fundraise

Your Impact

Did you know the type 1 diabetes has NO cure? And that once diagnosed you will require daily insulin, making up to 180 extra decisions a day about diabetes management, monitoring blood glucose levels and the list goes on - everyday - 24/7 - for the rest of your life.

The cause of type 1 diabetes remains a mystery and you cannot prevent type 1 diabetes. This years' Schools Triathlon Challenge is challenging every participant to not only do their best and have fun, but to also help all Australian children living with type 1 diabetes.

Funds raised can go towards Diabetes Australia's youth program, which includes day activities for children with type 1 diabetes aged 5 - 14 years and their families.
